Data controller
Bliksem Belgie (trading as Bliksem Cars) is responsible for processing your data. Company / VAT number: BE 0771.587.983 (0771.587.983). Registered address: Toevluchtweg 16, 8620 Nieuwpoort. Phone: 0467 63 33 03. For privacy questions: Bliksemcars@Bliksembelgie.be.
What data we collect
Wash booking: name, phone number, e-mail address, chosen package and car size, date and time, optionally your car details and notes.
On-site maintenance price request: make, model, year, fuel, optionally mileage and number plate, the work requested, the address where we come (street, postcode, town, type of location), your name, e-mail address, phone number, optionally a preferred date and notes.
Account and subscription: e-mail address, password (stored encrypted by our provider), name, phone number, your saved vehicles and your invoices.
Payment: amount, currency, VAT and the payment references. Your card details never reach our servers — they are handled directly by our payment partner.
Technical: only what is needed to keep you signed in and remember your language choice. No tracking or advertising cookies and no analytics tools.
Why we use this data
We use your data to handle your booking, subscription or price request and to contact you about it, to process your payment and invoice correctly, and to meet our legal accounting obligations. We do not use it for advertising and never sell it.
Legal basis
For bookings, subscriptions and price requests we process your data to perform our agreement with you or in preparation for it. For the address and vehicle details in a price request we ask for your explicit consent. For invoices and accounting we rely on our legal obligation.
How we handle your consent
The consent box on a price request is unticked by default and you tick it yourself. The moment you consent is stored with your request, so we can show when and for what you gave consent. You can withdraw consent at any time via 0467 63 33 03; we then stop processing and delete your request, except what we are legally required to keep. We never put personal data in a web address or link.
Where and how we store your data
Your data sits in a secured database with our hosting partner inside the European Union, accessible only to the owner after signing in. Photos you optionally attach to a quote are stored in a non-public folder. The connection to our site is encrypted.
How long we keep your data
Maintenance price requests are deleted automatically once they are 12 months old. Bookings, subscriptions and invoices are kept as long as the statutory accounting period requires (in Belgium 7 years for invoicing data). Your account details and saved vehicles are kept while you have an account; if you ask us to delete your account we remove them, except the invoices we are legally required to keep.
Who we share data with
We share your data only with service providers working for us under our instructions: our hosting and database provider (storing your booking, account and request), our payment partner (handling payment and invoicing) and our e-mail service (sending confirmations). We do not sell your data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
Cookies
We only set necessary cookies: one to keep you signed in and one to remember your language. No tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict processing, object, receive your data in a readable format and withdraw your consent. Call us on 0467 63 33 03 and we will arrange it. If you are unhappy with our response you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
